After the Estate-Sale folks cleaned out the last of the stuff from the prior owner (more on her -- Doris Trossman -- later), one of the workers kindly left a full set of blueprints for the home. While I had thought that Greta Lederer was the architect, it turns out that she was the developer and Milton Schwartz was the architect, who, I think, is the same as here.
I scanned the originals into monstor-sized TIF files, which I then shrunk down a bit.
Page 2 is the main floor of the house.
On the bottom right corner (which I cropped here) it says: "A RESIDENCE BY GRETA LEDERER, INC. 771 STRAWBERRY HILL DRIVE, GLENCOE, ILLINOIS. MILTON SCHWARTZ, ARCHITECT."
Strawberry Hill Drive is just around the corner from us. The original drawings show four bedrooms. The small bedroom off of the kitchen, just behind the garage, we believe to have been intended as a servant's or guest bedroom. There is a full bathroom adjacent to it, with a Jack-and-Jill door so that it doubles as a powder room for guests or anyone on that end of the house.
